Hart USHD, Academy of the Canyons also opperates under a special agreement with the College of the Canyons, in the Santa Clarita Community College District, and is housed in the Diane G. Van Hook University Center. For over 40 years College of the Canyons has served the Santa Clarita Valley for primary college education, as well as vocational education. Serving over 25,000 students each year, the college is continuously expanding to meet its growing population and new programs.

read moreAs a middle college high school, our students take high school and college courses to meet their educational goals. For more information about our school, please look through the information on our website. Admission to Academy of the Canyons is available to any student living within the area served by the William S. Hart Union High School District. We admit students once a year at the fall semester through an application and selection process that begins the previous spring. ALL Applicants, upon request, must be able to provide documents proving residency within the district boundary at the time of application.

read moreAOC students are allowed to attend dances and events at district high schools under certain circumstances. For dances, like a back to school dance or winter formal, you may be able to attend as a guest of a student enrolled at that school but only if they allow guests. Check the school's policies for each dance/event. For events open to the community, like sporting or performing arts events, you can attend as a community member which usually means you purchase an entrance ticket. Ask if they give a discounted price to district students.
