Aikido is nonviolence. Every human being has been entrusted with a mandate from heaven, and the victory we seek is to overcome all challenges and fight to the finish, accomplishing our aims. In Aikido we never attack. If you want to strike 1st, to earn advantage over someone, that is proof your training is insufficient, and it is really you yourself who has been defeated. Let your partner attack, and use his aggression against him. Do not cower from an attack; control it before it starts. Nonviolence is the true practice of Aikido.

read moreIf you would like to take a class, please arrive at least 15 minutes before class to allow time for paperwork and basic orientation. Please wear or bring free moving athletic clothing that covers your knees. We have changing rooms that you can use. If after your first class you would like to keep training, we offer new students a complimentary training uniform and a month of training for $50.
