Our style covers mainly Karate for stand-up, Jiu Jitsu for the ground, and Arnis for weapons. We are also the only place to offer a special "kid friendly" version of 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu and now Muay Thai for kids too! We teach Honesty, Safety and Respect with a modern touch and believe kids can still be kids while they " learn to earn" their ranks at Blue Dragon. Our 2000+ sqft studio in Burbank, Ca. opened in 2008 and offers something for every kid: Karate, Jiu Jitsu, Arnis, Muay Thai, Wrestling, fitness, Parent's Night Out, a climbing wall and more, in an environment for the whole family.

read moreWe strive to help develop our student's character and produce better citizens though the Martial Arts and not just produce militant, carbon copy fighters. We believe students can learn discipline and respect with out many of the harsh, old school tactics and have fun doing it. We try to promote a real world use of respect and manners in the Dojo. We consider this a more natural and realistic way to teach kids about respect. After years of seeing older students held back by the limits of the younger kids, the younger kids struggling to keep up with the advanced techniques, and what Bruce Lee referred to as "the classical mess" our founder, Sensei Kim, decided to start her own blended style, just for kids, and separate them by age.and so Blue Dragon Martial Arts was born.
