Akron Police Credit Union

The Akron Police Department Credit Union is a non-profit financial cooperative chartered by the Ohio Department of Commerce. Our credit union is not a bank, savings & loan or a house of finance; it is a special group of people who have joined together to manage their own money by saving together and lending to each other. Established on February 14, 1938 by seven police officers who had donated $10. 00 each for the approval of the Articles of Incorporation, our credit union started delivering financial services to Akron Police Officers and their families.
