Hairstyling refers to the main services performed by a hairstylist: hair coloring, shampooing, conditioning, wet hairstyling, haircutting, permanent waving, and the trimming and styling of facial hair. It includes clipper cutting, shaving, massaging, and facial treatments. Barbering is a term that refers to the traditional profession of haircutting. It emphasizes the use of hair clippers for cutting dry hair, but doesn't exclude the techniques of wet haircutting and hairstyling.
