My name is Dr. Monica Brown, and I am delighted that Dr. Armitage chose me to take care of you. Let me tell you a little about myself. I was born and raised in the midwest where, after undergrad from the University of Iowa, I earned my master's degree as a Certified. Dr. Brown will be joining the practice January 1, 2014.

read moreOriginally from Winterset, IA Dr. Monica Brown completed her undergraduate work at the University of Iowa where she received a B.A. in Biology (with honors) as well as a Masters Degree in Orthoptics (Certified Orthoptist, C.O. - eye coordination specialist). She then received a B.S. in Vision Science and completed her Doctor of Optometry degree (also with honors) at Nova Southeastern University's College of Optometry in South Florida. Monica has participated in new ocular technology research and has also done numerous humanitarian missions to underserved countries including Peru and Ecuador (she speaks fluent Spanish) where she provided thousands of eye exams and specialized care for eye diseases and glaucoma.
