Artistic Die Mfg

Shortly after our origin, Artistic began die cutting. When World War II broke out, the U. S. Army Air Corps needed a provider to manufacture three dimensional model airplanes (ours, our allies and even the enemies) to aid gunners in identifying aircraft. Artistic developed a procedure to die cut these various models and landed a contract that lasted over a two year period. These cardboard planes can still be seen today in the Smithsonian Institute.
