Established by comedians Jan Norton and Linda Stogner, Backdoor Comedy has had many lives through the years. The Backdoor has been situated in a pizzeria, a deli, a bowling alley - twice, a cafe, a sports bar, a bar in Deep Ellum, and for the last 2 years at it's present location in the Arts District in downtown Dallas. We love our new home and hope you do, too. Here is the list of our past locations in chronological order: Repo's Pizza, Philachi's Deli, Checker's Pizza, Don Carter's Bowling Alley and any more.

The eclectic lineup features eight or more comedians each night, consisting of local pros and nationally touring comics. And many more. Occasionally, a famous friend of the club stops by and performs as well. In the past we've had many celebrity guests such as: David Spade, Bill Engvall, Brian Regan, Kathleen Madigan, Dennis Regan, Eddie Brill, Ron White, and Defending the Caveman's Rob Becker - to name a few.
