read moreFamily owned by three generations of dedicated business owners and mechanics, the Bartel's Auto Clinic history dates back more than half a century. It was 1958 when family patriarch, Robert "Bob" Bartel, began working with his father-in-law and owner of Howard's Standard in Villa Park. Upon his father-in-law's passing, Bob Bartel took over the operation. In 1965, after a tornado devastated the original Howard's Standard, Bob reopened as Bartel's Auto in 1966. Bob built and ran his business on the value of integrity, and consequently, his business flourished for 30 years.
