Air conditioning was something we had to go to town to check out, because it was new to everyone. I had a desire to learn construction after high school, so I landed a job installing ductwork in homes that were being built at Haile Plantation in 1980. Over time, my interest grew to learn how the equipment operated and how the a/c systems were designed and installed.
