Fitness Center in Cambridge, MA Caryn Connarton gained her Masters degree in physical therapy from Simmons College in Boston. She 1st discovered Pilates on a trip to LA few years ago and since then she has completed the Stott Pilates Instructor Certification Program, which provides a more modern approach to the original works of Joseph H. Pilates. Caryn has received training from several of the finest Pilates instructors in Boston, New York City and Los Angeles. Caryn, a individual trainer certified by the American College of Sports Medicine, has been certified in every major fitness craze in the last 10 years and taught.

read moreOur Barre classes blast serious calories with a high intensity / no impact combination of calorie scorching interval training, standing high repetition leg work (usually using a Body Bar or ballet barre for balance), ballet barre positioning, upper arm muscle strengthening and some original (though still pilates-like) ab work. The classes are a combination of the most efficient exercises to maximize your results. Nothing tones leg muscles quicker!
Specialized Workouts available
read morePhysical therapist and pilates and barre instructor Caryn Connarton will use pilates and barre based physical therapy exercises to teach you how to heal your problem areas and take any exercise class safely. Body rolling using foam rollers, sticks or various body rolling balls will be covered. Take home exercise reminder sheets will also be given. Pilates is a great activity to stay active and strong during pregnancy, not to mention prevent back and hip pain. All of our instructors have specialized training in pre and post-natal pilates, and can help you modify and continue your pilates program throughout all 40 weeks (or 41-in the case of our record holding pilates student).
