Unique in the Capital District, Bishop Maginn is the only private, non-boarding, college-preparatory, co-educational, 9-12 high school in the Capital District. In addition to these important attributes, Bishop Maginn is uniquely situated to offer access to important real world learning opportunities in government, health care and the arts.

We are one of the few local schools approved to admit international students and issue I-20 forms to facilitate the visa process. A well-qualified international applicant has a strong academic record and sufficient English language proficiency to perform well in a challenging college preparatory environment. Entering students are expected to have achieved a SLEP score above 60 or provide other evidence that their English is at that level.

Your donation supports technology needs, safety practices, extracurricular activities, AP courses, sporting activities, and more. Our students benefit from small class sizes and one-on-one student-teacher support. When you make a donation, you invest in every student's education. During the 2020-2021 school year it is our goal raise $55,000. Donors will receive quartlery newsletters with informatiom about BMHS activities, student accomplishments and needs, and the status of our campaign.

Our college-preparatory curriculum prepares students for admission to the college of their choice, with over 90 percent of graduates accepted into college. Each year, collectively, our graduates are offered millions of dollars in scholarships to prestigious colleges and universities locally and across the nation. Our graduates are extremely successful at the college level and are among the finest in their chosen field. All students are scheduled to complete all of the New York State Education Department learning standards.
