Cabinets by Charron, named for founder Bob Charron (pronounced SHARE-un) started in 1976. In 1979, Cabinets by Charron was acquired by Dale Hagerty. Rather than tailoring the firm's moniker to reflect the change in ownership, Hagerty opted to leave the name unaltered. Hagerty, a Building Construction graduate of the University of Florida's College of Fine Arts and Architecture, started his career as a Cost and Scheduling Engineer for the engineering.
