Church In Mission Viejo
read moreThe Church in San Juan Capistrano isn't our name - it's our description. As such, it's an inclusive title, not an exclusive one. We gather together simply as believers of the Lord in this city to experience Christ for the building up of His Body, the Church. To reach this goal, we gather frequently to study the Bible, foster a life in Christ, establish our children and young people in the faith, serve mankind with the gospel, and encourage one another's God-given ministry in the Body of Christ.
About Us
read moreThe Bible is the complete divine revelation inspired word by word by God through the Holy Spirit (2 Peter 1:21; 2 Timothy 3:16). God is uniquely one, yet a Trinity-the Father, the Son, and the Spirit (1 Timothy 2:5; Matthew 28:19). The Son of God, even God Himself, was incarnated to be a man by the name of Jesus Christ (John 1:1, 14). Christ died on the cross for our sins, shedding His blood for our redemption (1 Peter 2:24; Ephesians 1:7). Whenever any person repents to God and believes in the Lord Jesus Christ, he or she is regenerated (born again) and becomes a living member of the one Body of Christ (Acts 20:21; John 3:3; Ephesians 1:22-23; Romans 12:5).

As water is to the fish, and air to the birds, so are the meetings to the Christians. When we meet in the name of the Lord (Matthew 18:20), we enjoy His presence in a special way, His presence will bring us grace, peace, life supply and all kinds of blessings (Luke 24:33-36). Every Sunday, the Lord's Day, the church gathers for the meeting. The first session from 10:00 am to 11:00 am is the Lord's table or the Lord's supper meeting (1 Corinthians 10:21; 11:20).

Hebrews 10:25 exhorts us to not abandon the assembling of ourselves together. Because our Christian life is like the sheep's life, requiring that we flock together and live a meeting life. In a very real practical sense, on the one hand, we meet together at our meeting hall on Sunday; on the other hand, we meet from house to house on other days (Acts 2:46), that is, we gather together continually in homes.

We (mostly parents) take turns to care for our children during the Sunday morning meeting, so that other parents can attend the meeting, receive spiritual nourishment, and participate in the building up of the church. Beginning with preschool and continuing through 6th grade, we enjoy singing, memory verses, and age-appropriate lessons regarding proper character and the Bible.
