read moreCommunity is about drawing circles. We draw circles of love to embrace all that we find good and holy and right. The problem with most circles is that they are too small. When we speak of a circle of friends, we usually mean a group of people who think and talk and act like us. More often than not, these friends live in the same kinds of houses and drive the same kinds of cars and eat the same kinds of breakfast cereals that we do. People who have different colored skin and foreign accents, four-legged creatures, plants and the earth are often left outside the circle of our concern.

read moreI-HELP (Interfaith Homeless Emergency Lodging Program) - Our church provides overnight shelter and dinner to program participants in our neighborhood. Our church hosts the meal once a month but three other churches host the meals on four other nights that participants are sheltered. Lunch Bags for Neighbors Experiencing Homelessness- In conjunction with our sister congregation, Guardian Angels Ecumenical Catholic Community, we offer non-perishable lunches through our Office each day. We distributed over 2,500 lunches in 2020.

read moreOur Pastor, Rev. Bob Howard, joined us in December, 2017 as Interim Pastor and was called by our congregation to be Pastor in June, 2019. Bob received his undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama in Huntsville, his M.Div.
