Rehabilitation therapy has been proven to decrease pain and inflammation, improve strength and coordination, increase joint range of motion, and speed healing. Additionally, rehabilitation can also have positive psychological effects on your pet. To provide the most complete recovery and comprehensive care possible, we partner with North Texas Animal Rehabilitation (NTAR) who provides individualized care using advanced rehabilitation techniques.

Our surgeons create small incisions through the skin to allow access to the surgery site through skin 'portals'. Through these portals, we insert a small camera into different body cavities including the abdomen, chest and even joints. We work with a magnified high-definition image that can often make the surgery easier and allow us to find problems that may be missed with a regular "open" surgery.

Services
read moreDVSC was founded in 1986, principally as a neurosurgical referral practice, with neurosurgeries accounting for over half of all procedures performed. Our team is available to evaluate, diagnose, and treat your pet's symptoms of neurologic dysfunction, such as weakness, paralysis, back and neck pain, seizures, gait abnormalities, circling, and balance disorders. Fluoroscopy is routinely used to aid in the safe placement of implants (pins, screws, wires) during neurologic surgeries. Intra-operative fluoroscopy significantly reduces the risks associated with screw and pin placement in neurosurgical procedures such as spinal fusions and spinal fractures/luxations.
