read moreWe are a non-profit dance studio committed to creating a positive and stimulating environment in which students of all backgrounds come together, learn to love and appreciate the art of dance, and are inspired to achieve their personal best. We will continue to follow all regulations in our Safe Start Plan. Classes with more than 5 students will run as a hybrid class rotating between in studio and virtual each week. All classes have a full virtual option for dancers who would like to stay home and join us for class.

read moreThe Dance School is a unique place. We are a 100% community funded, non-profit organization dedicated to celebrating the art of dance. In 2006 a group of committed parents and community leaders re-created the dance school in the historic Vasa Building in downtown Everett. This is the same building that nurtured the legacies of Betty Spooner and Mike Jordan. The Dance School is a place where children of all abilities learn to dance, sing and perform; where creativity, individuality and self-expression are encouraged.

read moreThe Dance School is committed to providing financial assistance to students and families who can demonstrate financial need and who have a desire to attend classes at our school. Scholarship awards will be based on eligibility (per federal income eligibility guidelines used to determine free and reduced school lunch program) first, and the amount of TDS scholarship funds available second. read moreYoungsters discover the joy of dance in a playful environment. These fun and engaging classes develop motor skills, strength, coordination and creativity. Props, imagery, and music inspire spontaneity and self-expression. Students learn beginning technique and basic terminology, while still emphasizing creative expression. This class helps children develop dance concepts that will be used in Tap. Learn to make music with your feet! This percussive dance form is exciting to watch and fun to perform.

read moreTo comply with current regulations our dressing rooms are closed until the county reaches phase 4. We currently have cubbies in our lobby for dancers to place their items and outdoor shoes. Cubbies are spaced throughout our lobby and cleaned between each class. Dancers should arrive to the studio in their class attire, or they can use the restroom to change. We recommend families write their dancer's name on all clothing, water bottles and personal items. All belongings should fit in a student's dance bag for the duration of class.

read moreA face covering is required for all staff member and students while at the studio. All staff and students will enter through a single point of entry, the front door on Rockefeller Avenue, where a mandatory temperature check will be given. Temperature checks will be provided by a staff member with a contactless thermometer. Updated Waiver: All new and returning students to TDS will need to sign or have a parent sign our updated waiver form. Temperature Check: Students are asked to remain outside with a parent before and between classes.
