Data Institute

Goodwin College was established in 1999, having evolved from Data Institute Business School, a career training school that had operated in East Hartford, Connecticut since 1962. In 2004, the college became a nonprofit organization and received accreditation from the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) By 2007, the college's nursing program had grown to become the 2nd biggest in the state of Connecticut. In the fall of 2009, enrollment increased to 2, 083 students - a 31 percent growth since the fall of 2008.
