Dan started his professional career in music after finishing his Master's degree at the University of Minnesota. Having played keyboards since the age of six, he speedily became in demand for accompanying and arranging bands and church groups in the Minneapolis area. After relocating to Miami, Florida, Dan branched out into studio recording and production. When he became the main engineer for EmpireMusicWerks, a subsidiary of BMG, a number of his productions hit the Billboard top 100, such as the Gravediggas album, Life in A Minor' and 'Mambo #5'
