Poverty, racism, and policies and laws that don't support all families create barriers to wellness for many Bay Area families. EBAC's transformational programs help children, youth, and families recover from trauma; build upon existing resilience to protect against long-term harm from past or future exposure to adversity; and when possible, prevent exposure to adverse childhood experiences. Guided by a trauma-informed approach, EBAC's eight distinct, direct service programs include two counseling programs; a therapeutic nursery school; five Family Resource Centers; a health and wellness center, and grief support, afterschool, and youth empowerment programs.

EBAC's programs are particularly effective as they benefit from our staff and agency experience, knowledge, cultural humility and language competence in serving children and communities disproportionately impacted by poverty, violence, marginalization, loss of loved ones, and other forms of trauma.
