Our Drivers Education classes are held on Saturdays and some weekday sessions during school breaks in a classoom at Parkway Bowl in El Cajon. This school and the American Driving School are both owned and operated by Dijit Enterprises, Inc. We offer a diverse group of Instructors with a long history of teaching both safe street driving and advanced driving skills. Our capability goes far beyond the usual Driving School that just teaches teenage driver's education.

read moreWhen a driver reaches age 70, DMV requires Drivers License renewals to be done in person rather than by mail. Every Senior has different abilities regardless of age, so each renewal is treated individually. A multiple-choice written test is given to ensure understanding of current laws, and a vision test will also be administered. If the driver has difficulty passing the written test or the vision test reveals some concerns, DMV may then require a special driving test. El Cajon Driving School is licensed to provide a professional review and preparation for Seniors to take a DMV Driving Test.

El Cajon Driving School offers Driver's Education classes on Saturdays and school holidays during the year (see schedule), conveniently located in the meeting room at Parkway Bowl in El Cajon. We have chosen Parkway Bowl as the site for our classroom because it is centrally-located in East County. It's a nice safe place to drop off teenagers, with room to relax during breaks, lots of air-conditioned indoor space, plenty of clean restrooms, and several food options for lunch nearby, including a caf and snack bar on site and fast-food restaurants within 2 blocks.

read moreIf a Senior driver has experienced a major medical condition or been at fault for an accident, a temporary Special Instruction Permit may be issued by DMV to require a licensed Instructor or California-licensed driver to accompany the Senior while driving until a DMV driving test is passed. El Cajon Driving School is authorized by DMV to provide evaluations and brush-up driver training for Seniors with a Special Instruction Permit. Whenever a driver has inadequate vision test results or has difficulty passing a written test after several attempts, the DMV does not automatically revoke the driver's license.
