Veterans Connect @ The Library
read moreVeterans Connect @ the Library allows veterans to meet with volunteers trained by CalVet to help California veterans and their families find information on the resources they need and the benefits they have earned through military service. Military personnel, veterans and their families will find information regarding benefits, housing, education, employment, and healthcare. Works to ensure that the government delivers to our nation's 25 million veterans and active duty personnel the benefits to which they are entitled because of disabilities resulting from their military service to our country.
Adult Literacy Program
read moreIn-person literacy services and tutoring have been suspended until the Library begins providing full services. Until then, we are providing online Zoom training classes and tutor roundtables. If you would like to participate in online services and are currently a literacy student or tutor, please contact your program assistant at literacy@solanocounty.com to receive the most current weekly online Zoom training schedule. If you are not currently a student, please watch the New Student Meeting Video and then contact the literacy office at 707-784-1526.
NASA at My Library
read moreSolano County Library is one of only 3 libraries in California, and 75 nationwide to be awarded a prestigious NASA@MyLibrary grant. This grant is designed to share the excitement of NASA exploration and discovery with our community. Join us for a compelling learning experience and be a part of the story, science and adventure of NASA's exploration of our solar system and the universe beyond. We will have programs that engage various age groups and get the chance to meet NASA scientists, engineers and educators.
