Fireworks Gallery
Museum & Art Gallery in Seattle, WA
Michele Manasse had dreamed of one day owning a gallery. In 1985, when the original Fireworks Gallery in Pioneer Square, Seattle, went up for sale, she decided to make her dream come true. She took the sum total of her savings $7000 and purchased the then two-year-old gallery from its original owner, potter Steve McGovney. At 1st dividing her time between her new gallery and her full-time job as an urban planner, Michele started stocking Fireworks with merchandise she described as practical objects with a playful edge.
