Georgia Copeland, known as Georgie by her friends and family, started her professional dancing career at the age of 8. At 17 she was chosen as an MGM Starlet, making many movie musicals. She went on to work with twentieth Century Fox and as a Goldwyn and Ziegfeld girl. She worked with such stars as Fred Astaire, Lucille Ball, Buddy Ebsen and Esther Williams. Georgia married Jack Copeland and opened her 1st dance studio in Escondido. Through her instruction, she personally produced over 40 professional dancers.
