The Lord lead Elder E. M. Green and family to Killeen in 1958. Seeing the need for a church; by faith, he rented a building for $35. 00 a month. In November of that year he acquired another building on Highway 190. The only members of the church at that time were his wife, Mother C. Green and his kids. Elder Green lived in Temple and had to travel back and forth to Killeen. Elder Green held his 1st revival in December of 1958. Five souls were saved. The 1st members were Mrs. Ida Prem, Tommy Sanders and Wheeler Smith.
