Greendale Dance Academy was founded by Melissa in 1994 in the basement of Greendale People's Church. The studio was comprised of 45 students, one assistant teacher and Miss Melissa. At the time, Melissa was coaching the award winning Greendale People's Church Cheerleading squad. Two years later, the studio grew enough to move to it's current location at 15 Ararat Street, conveniently situated between West Boylston and Holden. We began with just 1/3 of the lower level and over the past thirteen years.

Our Award Winning Competitive Team strives for excellence while also developing a well-rounded dancer. Our dance alumni include a Boston Celtics Dance Team Captain, a New England Patriots Cheerleader along with Disney, Universal and Sea World Performers. New dancer or advanced, boy or girl, ballet or hip hop, GDA has something for everyone! I can't say enough good things about GDA and how they have handled the current situation we are in.

read moreCompetition Team is open to most students in the Studio. It is for the student who wants to make Dance their primary extra-curricular activity. Our dancers consistently win Titles, Top Awards, Judges Awards and cash awards at competitions throughout New England. We fully embrace a sense of team and instill values of team work, commitment, self motivation and giving back to the community. Greendale Dance Academy is a 2016, 2x 2018, and 2019 Studio of Excellence Winner from the Association of Dance Conventions and Competition.
Fall Information
read moreSummer Dance went very well and gave us a great opportunity to work through the reopening guidance provided by Governor Baker. We were able to have lots fun while also remaining safe and socially distanced. This year may have many challenges, but we feel confident that we are prepared to meet them head on. We are ready to get back to dancing! I hope you will join us this year for dance! NOTE: To register online you will be asked to enter a credit card. read moreGreendale Dance Academy offers a variety of classes for dancers ages 3+ in many popular styles including ballet, tap, jazz, acrobatics, musical theater, pom, hip hop, lyrical and more. Our classes are taught by our outstanding staff in a safe, fun and nurturing classroom. Dancers interested in Competition Team should contact the studio directly. The 2020-2021 Schedule is below. Thank you for your continued patience. We wanted to see what schools were planning for the fall and if the Governor would change any of the guidance for dance studios before making our decision about a schedule.
