Chiropractic care is a holistic approach to many of the health and performance problems of the horse. Chiropractic doesn't replace traditional veterinary medicine and surgery, but supplies an alternative method of care that works to enhance traditional methods of treatment. The bones of the spine and joints are maintained in a specific alignment, allowing the nerves which surround each joint and vertebral articulation to be in constant communication with the central nervous system, brain and organs. When even a subtle change in the alignment occurs, it is called a subluxation.
