Carl Henderson established Henderson Music Co. In March of 1963 in the suburb of Greater Cincinnati known as Covington, KY. Our Corporate Headquarters is still situated on Madison Ave. 3 doors down from where Carl originally began. Carl's son Brian joined him right out of high school and helped in opening a 2nd location in the Greater Cincinnati area. Soon after the possibility to expand S to the Lexington, KY area came to light. So in 1979 our third location opened in Eastland Shopping Center, Lexington, KY.

Fantastic service and wonderful people. Mike in the Lexington location is truly a professional with your best interest in mind. If you are searching for a piano look no further. He helped me find a piano in my budget that is in great shape and sounds amazing. I came into the shop one day after work on a Friday and Mike talked to me about what to look for in a good instrument, how to take care of it, and gave me great advice in regards to all my questions. He didn’t push any products on me and was easy to talk to, told me if he could find what I was looking for he would give me a call. On Sunday he gave me a call, having found a fantastic Young Chang instrument for a perfect price and in great condition and I bought the instrument with absolutely no regrets. From setting me up with a reputable mover, offering a free tuning, and absolute flexibility with pickup, he truly went above and beyond and I can honestly say have met few people as kind in the music industry. Don’t let Willis music fool you with their perks, Henderson offers everything they do and more for a better price. One of the best businesses I have dealt with in Lexington period. I know pianos are not “frequent” purchases but they will be my piano shop for life.
