Churches in Lincoln, NE The Church of the Holy Trinity is the oldest Episcopal Church in the city of Lincoln. Set up in May of 1869 as the 1st Episcopal Church in the new capital city of the new state of Nebraska. The church was formerly situated at twelfth and J Streets on what is now the Lincoln Mall midway between the State Capital and the County-City Building. In January of 1957 a disastrous fire completely destroyed the pretty red sandstone house of worship.

Here are just a few; if one or more appeal to you, call 402-488-7139 for more information. This working guild is responsible for preparing the altar for every worship service. This includes the weekly and seasonal worship services as well as all baptisms, weddings, funerals, and all other special services. In addition, the guild is responsible for care of the linens, candles, vessels, and vestments used by the clergy of the church.
