We welcome your interest in our training program and hope to supply a brief overview of the residency. 1st and foremost, our program is dedicated to educating emergency medicine physicians who can supply fully qualified care in any emergency department, utilizing the finest in clinical skills and academic knowledge that the specialty has to provide. Kern Medical Center is the only trauma center for all of Kern and Tulare County. In addition, a huge percentage of our patients are uninsured and underserved, delivering an enormous range of pathology and an opportunity to serve.
