Joann's School of Dance was set up in 1985 under Director Joann Schoenig who has been dancing since the age of three and teaching for over 30 years. Directing/Owning her dance studio was her dream as a little girl and has now expanded into her passion. 100's of students have graced the stage at JSD'S recitals and have experienced the passion and dedication Miss Joann puts into her teaching. Miss Joann is a certified member of Dance Educators of America, National Association of Dance Teachers, Professional Dance Teachers Association, Arts Council Co-Op.

In reopening the studio in a safe environment, we hope to establish a return to normalcy and social interaction for our students. My staff and I are committed to providing a safe, positive place for your children to grow their love of DANCE. JSD will be offering classes both IN-PERSON and VIRTUALLY depending on your preference.

read moreJSD's Nationally Ranked Dance Team has won many prestiges awards in all age categories and styles of dance. Recently, our team won the Rising Star National Dance Championship along with over sixty placements and special awards.

Tuition & Fees
read moreClass Fees are due the 1st of the month. We offer a grace period up until the 10th of the month. If you make your payment after the 10th of the month a $25.00 late fee per month will be applied starting from the 11th of the month. NO EXCEPTIONS Tuition is a flat fee you must still pay full tuition if your child is absent due to illness or vacations. Our program runs consecutively from September through June. Students will be automatically enrolled each month unless we receive notification of withdrawal.
Studio Policies
read moreJazz, Tap, Latin -Leotard, sports bra, fitted t-shirt black dance shorts or black leggings. Hip Hop - Fitted t-shirt, sports bra, black sweat pants, black dance shorts or black leggings. Hair must be secured in a bun or ponytail. Students must be on time for class and not leave early unless you have an emergency or important event. Interruption of class is both distracting to students and teachers. Please do not leave your child 10 minutes before or after class. Do not bring siblings or friends to class we cannot be responsible for children unattended.
