I began my professional career as a systems programmer while and after attending Drexel University. In 1982, after about 11 years in the field while living in California, I came to the conclusion that data processing was a career that I didn't want to pursue all the way to retirement. I realized that working with people and their dogs would bring all my talents and loves together in one occupation that would truly aid people and make a change. As I started the pursuit of understanding dogs and dog behavior, I soon realized that most other dog experts were constantly contradicting others.
