read moreThere are now three ways to worship each Sunday: drive-in, sit on the lawn, or tune in to the live stream. Out of love for our community and one another, we are not worshiping indoors until it is safe to do so. An ecumenical, interfaith worship services hosted annually by Central Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). This year's service is a digital collaboration, 45 minutes in length, and includes contributions from many, including South Elkhorn youth, Paley Conley.

During the singing of the last hymn of the worship service, you will be invited to come to the front of the church and welcomed by the pastors. A person who begins the Christian life does so through baptism, which is a symbol of God's grace through Jesus Christ. The profession of faith is a response to the question: "Do you believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God, and do you pledge to spend the rest of your days figuring out just what that means?"

We ask new members to confess only: "Do you believe that Jesus is the Christ and do you promise to spend the rest of your days figuring out what that means?" At the Tablewe connect anew to God and one another with the bread and cup of Christ. We celebrate communion every week in worship and invite all present to share in the wonder of God's sustaining love.

read moreLexington Habitat for Humanity is part of a global, nonprofit housing organization that focuses on providing families with homes. Habitat for Humanity is active in constructing, rehabilitating, and preserving homes; advocating for fair and just housing policies; and providing training and access to resources to help families improve their living conditions. Each year, Lexington Disciples congregations come together to fund and build a Habitat for Humanity house for a local family. You can participate by donating to the campaign (simply put "Habitat for Humanity" on your check or online gift) or volunteer to help build or serve food to the builders.
