read moreFounded in 1944 by a vaudeville and an elocutionist, Little Theatre School is a private preschool that has been educating young children in the North Shore area for almost 75 years. The founders started with teaching drama/theatre to young children, thus, the origin of the name Little Theatre. In response to changing educational needs, Little Theatre School has been expanded to include academic components, while keeping performing arts strong in our curriculum. First added was kindergarten, then prekindergarten and nursery.

Our school year starts on the Monday after Labor Day and ends on the Wednesday or Friday in the first week of June. The last 3 weeks of June is reserved for our Little Theatre Summer Camp. First day of school is Monday September 14, 2020. We have open enrollment for Nursery (2 years 9 months to 4 years old). Admission for Pre-K and Kindergarten is September of each year, although exceptions may be made for mid-year start.
