At LOGOS, students receive personalized academic instruction combined with individual and group therapy to learn key life skills for success inside the classroom and beyond. We help students in crisis, families dealing with school refusal and teens struggling with any number of emotional challenges including Anxiety, Attachment Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Depression, eating disorders, learning challenges, low self-esteem, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, poor motivation, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, relationship challenges, and school refusal.

read moreOn September 14, 1970 our doors opened at 3325 Washington Blvd under the name Sophia House in a warehouse in downtown St. Louis. There were four students in attendance, and they were working to attain their GED. After the first year, the staff realized that these students needed more in-depth and individualized services, both educationally and psychologically. In the early years, our school provided a place for students who did not conform to the structure of traditional schools. The original facility had no desks or tables, rather sofas and pillows on the floor.

Through the course of the process, we seek to get to know you and your student so we can prepare them for success at LOGOS. Since 1970, LOGOS has been educating young men and women in a non-traditional setting that provides individualized academic and therapeutic support for all of our students. Today, we serve grades 6-12 with an average student-teacher ratio of 6:1.
