read moreThe Long Beach Ballet Academy is dedicated to a professional classroom atmosphere that provides each student with the optimum opportunity to progress to his or her full potential. Artistic Director Born and raised in the Los Angeles area, David Wilcox began studying the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus at the age of eleven. Having successfully completed all exams through the Advanced level, he continued his studies in London and at the age of nineteen began his professional career in Germany. He spent seven years dancing with the Berlin Ballet, the Nuremberg Ballet, and the Heidelberg Ballet.

read moreCSULB dorms provide safe atmosphere complete with security systems and campus security guards. Parent-signed Consent Forms will be used to make sure your student is only picked up by approved family members and/or friends. The residence package includes three meals each weekday and two meals on weekends. Dinner: buffet style offers a variety of foods to satisfy the heartiest appetite after a long day of dancing. Students will be assigned a roommate (requests available). Rooms are furnished with a bed, dresser, desk, chair, bookshelf, wastebasket, closet and mirror for each resident.

read moreAfter spending 3 weeks training with us in Long Beach, we present you with the opportunity to train with the Guangzhou Ballet of China. Now includes 6-day cruise to Japan! This program has been designed to provide a rich, intensive experience of classical training. It includes daily classes in ballet technique, pointe, and variations, as well as a sampling of other dance forms to enrich the training of the classical dance student. These other classes include Russian Character, Pilates, Modern and Contemporary.
