Social & Welfare Services in Corpus Christi, TX Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota traces its history to 1865 when a young Swedish pastor named Eric Norelius and his congregation took in four orphaned immigrant kids and later opened Vasa Lutheran Home for Children. LSS is the biggest, statewide non-profit social service organization in Minnesota with over 2, 200 employees who serve in 300 communities. It is owned by the six Minnesota synods of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA)

We also help people build their family through adoption and provide non-directive counseling to expectant parents facing an unplanned pregnancy.
