Upbring, the new Lutheran Social Services of the South, has been awarded a contract by the federal Office of Head Start to provide childhood development programs for children in an area near Houston. The four Southeast Texas centers will feature Head Start programing, and qualifying children and families in Wharton, El Campo, Palacios, and Bay City will have the opportunity to participate in this program.

read moreUpbring Adoption staff works with both adoptive families and birth families to complete domestic infant adoptions in Texas, placing newborns with their adoptive families. We work closely with both parties to ensure that all members of the adoption triad - the birth family, the adoptive family and the adoptee - are supported and have their needs met. All domestic adoption services are free for birth parents, including counseling and mentoring from adoption specialists, customized adoption plans, financial assistance, legal help and more.
