Social & Welfare Services in Rochester, MN
Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota was established in 1865 when a young pastor and his pioneer congregation opened their hearts to four orphaned immigrant kids. Since then, adoption has been a vital part of the social ministry of Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota. An estimated 18, 000 kids have found 'forever families' of all denominations over the past 135 years through the work of the LSS Adoption. Having placed kids in each of the past 3 centuries, LSS is privileged to have played a significant role in the lives of so many kids and families as the practice of adoption has evolved.
