read moreMarjorie Kovich began her ballet school in 1972 to pursue her dream of teaching ballet and to offer dance classes in a positive and encouraging yet disciplined environment - a learning center for students of all ages to come and share their love of ballet and dance. Ballet classes were originally held in a rented church reception hall. In 1976, the school moved to its present location at 1312 South Berry Road in Norman Oklahoma. The uniqueness of this location provides a beautiful setting in which students gain a sense of security and comfort as they begin their journey into ballet.

I would definitely recommend others to this studio because of the close-knit community and high quality of training. I also danced in the annual Oklahoma Nutcracker for many years and made countless life-long memories. Every minute spent dancing here was worth it. We had to leave because of a move but if I could, I would go back in a heartbeat. Coming to the Marjorie Kovich School of Ballet has changed more than my turnout and flexibility, though those have improved considerably!

Our School of Ballet presents an annual Spring Recital every May to showcase all of our students and give them a chance to "shine" as they perform for families and friends! The Spring Recital is a very special and important event for all of our dancers! They get an opportunity to demonstrate what great progress they have made in dance classes during the year.
