For over twenty five years, Masa's Restaurant, situated on the border San Francisco's bustling Nob Hill and Union Square districts, remains one of the nation's leading fine dining restaurants specializing in California French cuisine. The story started when Chef Masataka Masa Kobayashi of Auberge du Soleil in California's Napa Valley was persuaded to headline his own restaurant in San Francisco, utilizing his exceptional talent for French cuisine. His namesake, Masa's, opened in 1983 and became an instant success.
