In 1955 Harold and Velda Mills began a tiny automotive repair shop at 902 North Fares Avenue. They operated for fifteen years when the present owners, Don Decker and Jack Vickery, purchased the business. By 1977 the operation had outgrown the original location and was moved to 1018 Maxwell Avenue, where the size of the facility and team tripled. In 1982 they acquired Hills Body Shop on 2314 Division Street and opened Mills Body Shop East, and In 1986 Mills opened their 3rd location at 115 Jaycee Street in Chandler, Indiana.
