read moreBoth material and allegations of abuse or neglect can put parent-child relationships at risk. Supervised parenting time reconciles the tension between risk and loss of parent-child contact. It allows a child to have a safe relationship with a parent, free of conflict. Supervised parenting time is facilitated by a professional supervisor, who maintains both eye and ear shot of the parent at all times. The supervisor does not provide therapeutic interventions, but does intervene when things are done or said that could put a child at risk.

read moreOur parenting education class is a four-hour, one-time course designed to provide bedrock education for successful co-parenting. Participants will learn about family transitions through the eyes of each family member, relevant risk and protective factors to healthy child adjustment, and skills to effectively manage co-parenting relationships. Classes are taught by a skilled clinician, and participants receive a certificate of completion that can be provided to an attorney or court. These classes are held in Vancouver on the 2nd Saturday of each month from 10am to 2:30pm, with a half hour break in the middle.

Our provider team at NW Family Psychology - Rock Pointe are trained in the scientist-practitioner model of evidenced based care standards. We collaborate closely with one another, as well as with referring parties (e.g., parents, attorneys, psychiatrists, pediatricians, teachers, expert consultants, etc.), to provide our clients with comprehensive and evidence-based evaluation and treatment services. Cesario is not providing therapy, but does provide testing - such as ADHD, autism, complex mood, and also testing for the court - parenting, domestic violence, etc. Cesario collaborates routinely with the forensic team at NW Family Psychology Seattle.
