Okinawan Karate Club of Dallas teaches traditional Okinawan Shorin Ryu karate as taught by Eizo Shimabukuro O'Sensei and Okinawan Shudokan karate as taught by the late Walter Todd Sensei. Okinawan weapons (kobudo) are taught to advanced students. OKCD offers training in Arnis and Jujutsu. Our dojo has been in Dallas since 1984. We currently have all ages, classes every day, no contracts & low monthly dues. There are monthly dues for all youth and adult karate classes. If a student attends a class any part of that month, the student pays his/her entire monthly dues.

Under the leadership of our head instructor, Ilene J. Smoger, we are afforded opportunities to train with the very best martial artists. We celebrate our accomplishments together, mourn our losses together - we are active participants in the lives of the students that walk through the dojo doors each day. Since 1984, this dojo, while it has had several homes in various places around the Dallas area, has been a steady source of life, energy, family and community.
