read moreTraditionally, the Arctic region of Alaska produces some of the earliest King salmon of the season. These fish have a high fat content and excellent meat color. This production begins around June 15. The King salmon from here rivals anything out of Copper River. Short openings, 100% iced boats and immediate processing makes these king salmon absolutely outstanding. We size grade at 7/11 lbs, 11/18 and 18/up. The majority of the fish average about 12 to 13 lbs. Coho salmon production starts in early August for the first Coho anywhere in Alaska, ending in early September.
