PEOPLES BAPTIST CHURCH

The 1st service for Trinity Baptist Church was February 14, 1982 with 11 present. The Church was organized on May 16, 1982 and held services at the old flea market building currently situated beside Walton's Garage on Hwy 72 in Killen. The pastor was Bro. James F. Brown. Charter members were James F. Brown, Thelma Brown, Mark Brown, David Gulley, Arlis Hurn, and the late Valeria Hurn. Bro. Gary Marks was Pastor from June 1983 until May 1994. About four acres was purchased and a new Church building was built S of Hwy 72 and W of Brooks High School.
