D Pierce Gallery of nineteenth and twentieth Century Fine Art in Dallas, Texas offers original works by Antoine Blanchard, Jules Herve, Jean Rigaud, Andre Gisson, Lucien Delarue, Jean-Pierre Dubord, Barbara Jaskiewicz, Niels Walseth, Joan Colomer, and many others. Although the art collections of monarchs and aristocrats were often available for public viewing for part of the time, at least by the middle and upper classes, the 1st publicly owned and easily accessible one being the Louvre in Paris, which was set up in 1793, soon after the French Revolution when the royal collections became state property.
