The historic Rayne Memorial United Methodist Church, with its unique and lovely Gothic-revival architecture, built in 1875, has had for 134 years, a strong and active ministry in the middle of uptown New Orleans. Because of its tall, graceful spire illuminated at night, she has become known as The Church of the Lighted Steeple. Rayne has a diverse and growing congregation with a huge array of musical, spiritual, and educational ministries for kids, youth, and adults, as well as ministries for college students, mature singles, and seniors.
