He then returned to Virginia and attended the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. After completing a six year residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Kentucky, he headed S to prestigious Vanderbilt University to receive training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He then completed a Pediatric Plastic and Craniofacial Fellowship with Dr. William Magee.
