The origin of the Russell & Pica Funeral Home dates back to 1900 when the McGlinchey Funeral Home at 446 Main Street was set up. In 1933, Francis J. Russell, a lifelong Brockton resident, became a licensed funeral manager and joined the McGlinchey Funeral Home. In 1943, Mr. Russell moved the McGlinchey & Russell Funeral Home to its present location, 165 Belmont Street. This home was the former residence of Charles Eaton, a well known shoe manufacturer who began his 1st shoe factory in 1876 and built his family home in 1895.
